Edge End Barn Certificated Location is situated in an elevated position on the edge of the moors above Holmfirth, the view is spectacular you can see for miles around. The site is a fairly level grassed area sheltered by mature trees, there is good wide access road with secure gate. The site has best of both worlds you can enjoy the seclusion and quietness of the countryside, with local hostelries within 10 minutes walking distance. There are shops and supermarkets in Meltham and Holmfirth both within a 10 minute drive away and don�t forget the nearby shops selling local produce. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, as seen in the television series �Last of the Summer Wine�. A short walk away are Digley and Bilberry Reservoirs with picnic areas, the views around Digley Reservoir are stunning, you can see Holme Moss Summit which will be the hill climb for the Tour De France. Walk a little further up to the ancient village of Holme and call at the Fleece Inn to relax and enjoy food and refreshments. If you enjoy cycling there are Kirklees cycle routes close by and if you�re feeling energetic why not have a go at the great Holme Moss hill climb like the Tour De France. You can have a wander around Holmfirth and see for yourself were the Last of the Summer Wine was filmed. There is the Holmfirth Vinery just across the valley. A little further away is Standedge Tunnel and visitor centre at Marsden. The Coal Mining Museum for England, Yorkshire Sculpture Park are but a few of the nearby visitor attractions. The caravan site provides drinking water with grey water and chemical toilet disposal points.
